Our team was honored to be on-site for the inauguration of the first phase of Oriental Weavers 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 at their industrial complex in 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, a key milestone within 𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐂’𝐬 ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions across Egypt’s industrial sector.
This inaugurated phase represents 𝟐.𝟓𝐌𝐖𝐩 of a 𝟏𝟕𝐌𝐖𝐩 photovoltaic power plant currently under development as part of 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟑𝟎 decarbonization roadmap.
Once fully operational, the plant is expected to generate approximately 𝟒.𝟓 𝐆𝐖𝐡 of clean electricity annually, reducing around 𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐂𝐎₂𝐞 of emissions each year. Upon full completion, nearly 𝟐𝟎% of Oriental Weavers’ total electricity demand will be sustainably supplied by solar energy.
This project reflects a significant step forward in enhancing industrial energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, reinforcing 𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐂’𝐬 role as a trusted partner in Egypt’s clean energy transition.
