Today marked the opening ceremony of 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐠𝐲𝐩𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 in 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧, a key part of 𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐂’𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 powering Sumitomo Electric facilities across Egypt through a 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐕 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞.
𝐇.𝐄 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐲 along with his 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐥-𝐖𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐫 attended the ceremony, highlighting the importance of sustainable energy in Egypt’s industrial growth.
This landmark project spans three strategic locations : 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧, 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐝, delivers a total capacity of 𝟑.𝟐 𝐌𝐖𝐩. It is expected to generate over 𝟏𝟏𝟕 𝐆𝐖𝐡 of clean energy during its lifetime, offsetting approximately 𝟓𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐎₂ emissions the equivalent of planting more than 𝟖𝟒,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬. With 𝟒𝟓% local component contribution, the project also reinforces national economic development alongside environmental impact.
At the ceremony, 𝐄𝐧𝐠. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥, our 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧, delivered a detailed speech highlighting the significance of the project, its successful completion, and the positive impact it will have on Egypt’s renewable energy landscape. He highlighted 𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐂’𝐬 commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable energy solutions that drive industrial growth and environmental stewardship.
Senior 𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐂 representatives were also invited to witness and celebrate this important milestone.
